GEISAI TAIWAN#2に出展致しました。
海外のGEISAI参加は、今回が初。
大変幸運なことに村上隆賞を受賞することが出来ました。自分なんかにはもったいない素晴らしい賞が頂けて、本当に嬉しく思っています。
今回の展示のテーマは「奇景」です。
I participated in GEISAI TAIWAN#2. As for overseas GEISAI participation, this time was the first.
The prize of TAKASHI MURAKAMI was able to be won very fortunately. Because I could get a wonderful too good, prize, I am really glad.
The theme of this exhibition is "Strange scenery".
「奇景」
日常や旅の途中で、ふと見過ごすことの出来ない様な光景に出くわすことがある。
「奇景」。奇異でありながら美しくもある、それらの景色。
では、一体何故奇異なのだろうか？
それらは、いつも強く何かを連想させる。そこから、発せられるなんらかのメッセージがあるからなのだと思う。
それらの光景を捉えようとする時、私は無意識的な判断基準である科学や、その他の価値基準を一旦取り払い、五感やそれ以外の感覚を極限まで研ぎすますことで、対象に迫る。只ひたすら描くことに寄って、脳内に起こる化学反応を待つ。
直感だけでなく、考え、想像し、妄想する。科学では語られない、存在意義、理由。語りかけて来るものを見る。そこにある物語。
"Strange scenery"
We suddenly might encounter the spectacle that cannot be overlooked during daily life or travel. "Strange scenery". Those sceneries is also beautiful though it is strange. Then, why is it on earth strange? They associate something always strongly. I think that it is because there are given some messages there.
When I catch those spectacles, I approach the object by removing the science that is an unconscious criteria and other standard of values once, and sharpening the five senses and other senses to the utmost limit. I draw single-mindedly, and the chemical reaction that happens in the brain is waited for.
I seek to know by not only intuition but also to think, to imagine, and to learn by the delusion. Significance and reason of existence not talked about in science. The talked one is seen. Story there.
都市 "city" / 1455×1455mm (S80) / oil on canvas / 2010
確かに多くの人々が、そこを日常の場として生活している。だが、それ以外の大多数の人々・動植物、あるいは地球外の「存在」から見れば、そこは極めて奇異な光景に違いないだろう。そこにある、愛してやまない夢。浮遊感。傾きつつある永遠の平和の幻想。
All right, a lot of people live as a place for daily life ..there... However, it will be sure an extremely strange spectacle there if it is seen from people of other large majority, or flora and fauna, or alien "Existence". Dream of not stopping love there. Anacatesthesia. Fantasy of inclining eternal peace.
ガジュマル "gajyumaru tree" / 500×606mm (F12) / oil on canvas / 2010
肉体の様でいて、骨の様でもある。猛り狂う生命とその結果としての死。横暴な、残虐すぎる生命という存在。
Like bodies, or bones. Life that goes mad in a rage, and death as result of it. Existence of too cruel despotic life.
海月と妖精 "jellyfish ＆ fairy" / 410×318mm (F6) / oil on canvas / 2010
海月の美しさに触発されて描いた。そこに見た、神秘的な光景。
動植物を多く題材とする装飾的なアールヌーボーをイメージした表現と、現代日本のアニメや漫画などのサブカルチャーの中で重要視される｢萌」などの甘い幻想を、自分なりに融合させて表現してみた。
西洋の美術運動であるアールヌーボーには、当時、ジャポニスムが影響を与えていたと言う。遥かな時間と空間を超えて出会った、２つの日本の文化を描こうとした。
I was touched off and drew this painting, in jellyfish's beauty. Uncanny sight seen there.
Expression that images decorated art nouveau of which theme is a lot of flora and fauna, And Sweet fantasy such as .."Moe".. attached importance to in subcultures of animated cartoon and comics etc. of present age Japan. These two elements were united in my own ways and I expressed it.
It is said that Japanism influenced art nouveau that is the art of the West movement at that time. I tried to draw the two culture of Japan that met exceeding far time and space.
